LED Backlight Strip Set
The TU8000 uses a series-parallel LED configuration. If one or more LEDs fail (open circuit or burnt), the LED driver on the power board detects a voltage drop/spike and triggers Over-Voltage Protection (OVP), shutting off all backlights. Replacing the full set of strips restores the light source required to make the image visible.

Main Board
While sound is present, a failure in the Main Board's video processing SOC or the LVDS/V-by-One output stage can prevent the image signal from reaching the panel. This is less likely than a backlight failure but is the secondary cause if the backlights are verified as functional via a flashlight test.

The Power Supply Board contains the LED driver circuit. A failed MOSFET, diode, or capacitor within the boost converter section can result in the failure to provide the high voltage necessary to ignite the LED strips, even if the logic power for audio remains stable.
