LCD Panel Assembly

The TU8000 series suffers from a high rate of internal gate driver failure within the LCD panel itself. These lines are caused by electrical shorts in the glass substrate or the flexible COF (Chip on Film) connectors that distribute signals to the pixels. Replacing the entire panel assembly is the only manufacturer-authorized method to resolve permanent vertical or horizontal lines.

Main Control Board

In a minority of cases, lines can be caused by a failure in the LVDS (Low-Voltage Differential Signaling) processing section of the main board. If the board fails to output a clean video signal to the T-CON (which is integrated on this model), it can manifest as rhythmic or flickering lines across the entire display.

Internal Ribbon Cables (LVDS/Flex)

Oxidation or improper seating of the flexible ribbon cables between the main board and the panel's buffer boards can cause data interruptions. While less likely than a panel failure, cleaning or replacing these cables can resolve lines if the issue is strictly related to signal continuity.
