LED Backlight Strip Set
The TU8000 uses edge-mounted LED strips that provide the primary light source for the display. Thermal stress causes individual LEDs to burn out, breaking the electrical circuit for that specific bank of lights. Replacing the strips restores the uniform light source required for the LCD panel to display an image.

Power Supply Board (LGP)
This board contains the LED driver circuitry which converts line voltage to the constant current required by the backlights. If a specific driver channel fails or a capacitor on the output stage degrades, it will fail to provide power to one side of the backlight array. This results in the half-dark symptom even if the LEDs themselves are functional.

Replacement LCD Panel
In cases where the 'darkness' is caused by a failure of the internal diffusion layers or a short circuit within the panel's gate drivers (COF), the entire panel must be replaced. This is often the result of heat from the failed LEDs damaging the optical filters or the panel glass itself.
