Rail-Mounted Ice Scratchers

On hard-pack surfaces, the track cannot penetrate the crust to generate cooling spray. These spring-tensioned carbide tips fracture the ice surface, creating a localized cloud of snow dust that is then carried by the track into the tunnel heat exchanger to dissipate engine heat.

High-Flow Thermostat

If external cooling aids (scratchers/flaps) are present and overheating persists, the mechanical thermostat may be failing to reach full lift. This restricts the volumetric flow rate of coolant through the engine block, preventing the radiator/heat-exchanger from receiving the thermal load needed for dissipation.
