RAVE Valve Gasket and Seal Kit

The RAVE valves operate in a high-heat, high-carbon environment where oil residue eventually polymerizes into a varnish that binds the valve slide. This kit is required to reseal the assembly after removing the valves for the necessary cleaning and polishing of the valve stems. Replacing the seals prevents exhaust pressure leaks that otherwise fail to provide the pneumatic assist required for the electronic actuator to move the valves through their full range.

Exhaust Valve Slide (RAVE Guillotine)

Physical deformation or heavy carbon pitting on the guillotine blade can cause it to wedge against the cylinder's exhaust port casting. If the valve is 'stuck' to the point where mechanical cleaning does not restore smooth movement, the slide has likely suffered thermal warping or material degradation. This component is the primary moving interface that modulates exhaust timing and is a common failure point for 'stuck' codes.

RAVE Actuator Servo Cable

The electronic servo motor translates motion to the valves via a mechanical cable system. These cables can fray, stretch, or bind within their housings due to heat cycles near the exhaust manifold. If the cable is seized or the inner lining is compromised, the servo motor will be unable to pull the valves open or allow them to fully retract, manifesting as a 'stuck' valve error.
