Drain Pump Assembly

This assembly is the most frequent mechanical failure point for bottom leaks. The internal impeller seal or the plastic housing often develops hairline cracks, allowing water to escape directly into the base of the machine and out the bottom during the drain cycle.

Drain Pump Debris Filter Cap

The service manual explicitly notes that an incorrectly engaged or faulty filter cover causes bottom leakage. The rubber O-ring can perish or flatten over time, preventing a watertight seal even when the cap is tightened.

Door Boot Diaphragm

Water leaking from the door seal often runs down the inside of the front cabinet panel, pooling at the bottom and mimicking a pump leak. Tears in the bellows or a misaligned 'nozzle-diaphragm' (as cited in the manual) are common root causes for this model.
