Drain Pump Motor Assembly

The drain pump is responsible for physically removing water; however, in this model line, the internal motor windings often fail or the connection terminals become corroded due to their position. If the pump shows no resistance (infinity) when tested with a multimeter, the motor is burnt out and must be replaced to restore the drainage cycle.

If the pressure hose is pinched, kinked, or clogged with sediment, the control board will not detect that the water level is high or will incorrectly believe the tub is still full/empty, preventing the drain pump from engaging. This is a common secondary cause if the pump and wiring are found to be electrically sound.
