Lid Lock Assembly

The internal solenoid or the position sensing switch within the assembly has failed, preventing the control board from receiving the 'Locked' or 'Unlocked' confirmation signal. On this model, detergent residue often enters the latch throat, causing mechanical binding that eventually burns out the actuator. Replacing the full assembly restores the safety circuit integrity required for the high-speed spin cycle.

Lid Strike

The plastic strike attached to the lid can become misaligned or chipped, preventing it from properly engaging the locking bolt. If the strike does not fully depress the internal actuator, the washer will trigger a lock error even if the lock assembly is electrically functional.

Main Electronic Control Board

In rare cases, the triac on the control board responsible for sending voltage to the lid lock solenoid can fail. This is typically only suspected if a new lid lock assembly fails to solve the error and continuity back to the board is confirmed.
