Drain Pump Motor

The drain pump motor is the primary mechanical component responsible for evacuating water. On LG front-loaders, these motors frequently suffer from internal seal failure or winding burnout, preventing the impeller from spinning even when receiving voltage. This results in the 'OE' error code and standing water.

Drain Pump Filter (Coin Trap)

While often just needing cleaning, the filter housing or the filter plug itself can become stripped, cross-threaded, or cracked. A severely clogged filter prevents water flow to the pump, and a damaged plug will cause leaks during the drainage cycle.

Water Level Pressure Switch

This sensor monitors the air pressure in the tube connected to the tub to determine water levels. If the sensor is faulty or the tube is blocked with gunk, the control board may never receive the signal to activate the drain pump or may incorrectly believe the tub is empty.
