Drain Pump Motor Assembly

This is the most frequent failure point for bottom leaks on LG front-load washers. Debris from the drum often passes the filter and damages the pump's internal shaft seal or cracks the housing, causing water to escape directly from the bottom center or front-left corner of the unit.

Door Boot Gasket

Water leaking from the bottom is often actually a leak from a tear in the rubber door seal. Water tracks down the front frame behind the aesthetic panels and pools on the floor, making it appear as if the leak is originating from the bottom of the machine.

Water Inlet Valve

Cracks in the plastic valve body or failure of the internal solenoids can cause water to spray or drip from the rear of the machine. This water follows the bottom casing to the front or center, presenting as a bottom leak even when the machine is not currently in a cycle.
