Roto-Stop Blade Brake Clutch Cable

The cable transfers the physical pull from the handle to the clutch engagement lever. Over time, the inner wire stretches or the outer conduit collapses, preventing the lever from reaching the 'over-center' position required to compress the clutch plates. This results in zero torque being transferred to the blade boss.

Blade Brake Clutch (BBC) Assembly

The BBC assembly contains the friction discs and the driven hub. If the internal friction material is glazed from overheating or worn beyond the service limit, it cannot generate the necessary friction to overcome the inertia of the blades and the resistance of the grass, even if the engagement lever is fully actuated.

Clutch Return Spring

This spring provides the counter-force required for the engagement mechanism to lock into place. If the spring has fatigued or snapped, the internal pressure plate may not seat against the friction disc, leaving the blade in a permanently 'disengaged' state despite operator input.
