GE RPWFE Water Filter

This model uses an RFID-chipped filter. If the filter is clogged, over six months old, or a non-genuine part is used without a valid chip, the control board may disable the icemaker fill cycle as a software-level protection measure.

Water Inlet Valve

The dual-solenoid valve controls both the water dispenser and the icemaker fill tube. If the dispenser works but the icemaker does not, the specific solenoid responsible for the ice tray fill line has likely suffered an electrical coil failure or mechanical blockage.
