On GE French Door models, the plastic water reservoir often develops hairline fractures or splits, especially if the refrigerator temperature fluctuates. This results in water pooling at the very bottom of the fresh food compartment, typically underneath the deli or vegetable drawers.

Dual Water Inlet Valve

The solenoid valves can develop slow leaks at the compression fittings or internal seals. If the leak is appearing on the floor behind the unit or running down the back interior wall from the top, the inlet valve is failing to close completely.

Defrost Drain Tube Service Kit

If the drain tube or grommet becomes clogged with debris or ice, the meltwater from the defrost cycle cannot reach the evaporator pan. This causes the water to back up and leak into the fresh food section or onto the kitchen floor.
