Drain Pump Assembly

This is the primary motor responsible for evacuating water from the sump. In this model line, the pump can fail due to internal seal leakage or electrical failure of the motor windings, preventing the pump from spinning even when the control board provides power. Replacing the assembly restores the mechanical force needed to push water through the drain line.

Drain Check Valve

The check valve is a small rubber flapper located in the drain path that prevents dirty water from backflowing into the dishwasher. Debris can often become lodged in this valve or the rubber can degrade and become 'sticky,' causing a total blockage of the drain path even if the pump is functional.

Drain Hose

The GE error codes C1 and FTD specifically point to checking the drain hose and air gap. Over time, calcium buildup or food particles can create a solid plug within the corrugated sections of the hose, or the hose may have become kinked during a recent under-sink service, preventing water flow.
