Main Control Board (Machine Control)
This is the primary logic center. In GE dishwashers, it features a 'Control Status Monitor' (CSM) that trips and causes the lights to flash if it detects a heater circuit error or a power surge. Replacing the board resets the logic and restores the 12V DC communication line to the UI.

Door Latch Assembly
The dishwasher will flash its lights (specifically the Start light) and beep if it does not detect that the door is securely closed. A mechanical failure in the latch microswitches prevents the 'door closed' signal from reaching the main board, halting operation.

User Interface (UI) Board
Located at the top of the door, this board is susceptible to steam and moisture damage. Internal corrosion on the board traces can cause erratic LED behavior, 'phantom' button presses, or constant flashing of all display segments.
