Drain Pump Cover

The E24 code is frequently caused by the drain pump cover being dislodged or incorrectly seated. Without this cover, the pump impeller cannot create the required suction (volute effect) to move water through the check valve and drain hose. The control board detects the lack of water movement via the pump's electrical resistance and throws the error.

Drain Pump

If the impeller is physically obstructed by debris such as glass shards or plastic, the motor reaches a locked-rotor state. This increase in torque and current draw is detected by the control modules as a drainage failure. Replacing the pump is necessary if the internal seals have failed or the motor windings are damaged from repeated stall attempts.

Triple Filtration System

A significant accumulation of organic fats or calcium deposits on the micro-mesh filter creates high hydraulic resistance. This restriction prevents the pump from drawing water at the calibrated rate, leading the system to conclude the drain path is blocked. A new filter assembly ensures optimal flow rates and prevents debris from entering the pump housing.
