Door Latch Assembly
The 800 Series uses a sensitive latch mechanism that confirms cycle safety. Over time, or during high-heat expansion, the internal microswitch can fail to maintain a steady contact state, causing the control board relays to rapidly engage and disengage as the safety circuit 'flutters.' This results in a persistent clicking sound as the machine attempts to maintain cycle continuity.

Water Inlet Valve
If clicking occurs specifically during fill or rinse segments, the solenoid coil within the inlet valve may be hammering. This is often caused by debris in the internal mesh filter creating a pressure differential that the solenoid cannot stay fully seated against, or a failing electromagnetic coil that can no longer overcome the spring tension of the diaphragm.

Heat Pump (Circulation Motor)
The 800 Series utilizes a brushless DC (BLDC) circulation pump with integrated heating. If the pump's rotor is partially obstructed by foreign objects or the control board's relay for the heating element is failing, you will hear a distinct electromechanical click as the machine attempts to restart the pump or modulate the heat load under fluctuating amperage.
