Circulation Pump Motor

The circulation pump is responsible for forcing water through the spray arms to wash dishes and dissolve the detergent pod. In the WDT750 series, this motor frequently fails while the drain pump and fill valve remain functional, leading to a 'dry wash' condition. Replacing the motor restores the necessary water pressure to the upper and lower manifolds.

Dishwasher Filter Assembly

A heavily clogged filter can starve the circulation pump of water, preventing it from building enough pressure to rotate the arms. While less likely to cause a completely dry pod, a restricted intake can mimic motor failure symptoms by cavitation. This is the first mechanical barrier to check before replacing the motor.

Diverter Motor

The diverter motor aligns the water flow to either the top or bottom spray arms. If the internal disc or the motor itself fails, water may not reach the spray arms efficiently. This often results in a 'partial' cleaning failure where one rack remains dirty, though a total failure to clean is more indicative of the main pump.
