Limit Switch, PCNC 440
The PCNC 440 uses mechanical micro-switches in a Normally Closed (NC) loop to monitor axis boundaries. Constant exposure to cutting fluids leads to coolant ingress past the plunger seals, which corrodes the internal copper contacts and creates an open-circuit state. Because the machine cannot distinguish between a triggered switch and a failed switch, it halts operation with a limit error to prevent mechanical damage.
