TBS Tango 2 Replacement Gimbal
The gimbal houses the magnet and the mechanical centering spring system. If the pivot point develops play or the magnet's mounting shifts, the Hall Effect sensor on the PCB will detect a non-zero magnetic flux even when the stick feels centered, resulting in 'drift.' Replacing the gimbal ensures the magnetic source returns to the calibrated null position.

On the Tango 2, the Hall Effect sensors are integrated directly into the mainboard circuitry rather than being part of the gimbal assembly. If the sensor IC experiences thermal degradation or internal component drift, it will output inconsistent voltage regardless of stick position. Since these sensors are not independently serviceable, a mainboard replacement is the only resolution for sensor-level failure.
