Fuel Line

The MS 250 fuel line is prone to cracking at the radius where it enters the fuel tank. These fractures cause the fuel system to lose vacuum and draw in air, resulting in a lean condition that allows the engine to fire on the initial prime but stall once the carburetor's internal fuel reservoir is depleted.

Carburetor Rebuild Kit

The metering and pump diaphragms inside the carburetor lose their flexibility due to chemical degradation from fuel additives. When the diaphragms harden, they can no longer pulse efficiently in response to crankcase pressure changes, failing to provide the volumetric fuel flow required to sustain combustion past the idle stage.

Impulse Line

This line conveys the reciprocating pressure pulses from the engine crankcase to the carburetor's integrated fuel pump. A tear or loose fitment at the nipple prevents the pump from operating, causing the engine to stall almost immediately after the fuel provided by the starting/choke sequence is consumed.
