Throttle Assembly

The throttle contains a linear Hall effect sensor that detects magnetic flux as the lever is depressed. Mechanical fatigue or moisture ingress often causes the sensor to fail or provide a signal voltage outside the expected parameters, triggering Error 14. Replacing the entire assembly ensures the magnet, return spring, and sensor are correctly calibrated.

Dashboard Control Board

The throttle signal is processed directly by the dashboard PCB before being transmitted to the motor controller. If the input header for the throttle cable has cold solder joints or if the signal-conditioning resistors on the PCB have failed, the system will interpret this as a throttle fault even if the throttle itself is functional.

Internal Dashboard-to-Controller Cable

This internal wiring harness carries the 5V power, ground, and signal lines between the handlebar components and the main controller. If the signal line is pinched or severed within the steering column (often due to vibration or folding stress), the controller will lose the throttle telemetry, resulting in a persistent Error 14.
