Evaporator Drain Clip (Heat Probe)

The factory-installed drain clip fails to conduct sufficient thermal energy from the defrost heater into the drain aperture. This leads to ice accumulation within the drain hole, eventually causing defrost meltwater to overflow the internal collection trough and migrate down the back wall into the crisper area. The revised longer clip ensures the drain remains clear by extending deeper into the exit port.

Condensate Drain Tube Assembly

These tubes at the rear of the chassis utilize 'duckbill' valves to prevent ambient air from entering the evaporator housing. Over time, these valves can become clogged with biological film or dust, causing a hydraulic backup of condensate water that eventually overflows the internal drainage system and pools under the vegetable drawers.

Autofill Water Pitcher Assembly

The RF28R7351 features an integrated Autofill pitcher; if the pitcher's gasket fails or the body develops micro-cracks from thermal stress, water will leak during the fill cycle. Because the pitcher is located in the door/showcase area, the leaking water typically migrates along the interior shelf channels and settles underneath the crisper drawers.
