Ice Maker Service Kit (with RTV and Y-Clip)

This kit is the official OEM solution for the air infiltration defect. It includes specialized RTV sealant to close gaps in the ice room housing and a drain tube Y-clip to prevent the defrost drain from freezing shut. Applying these components restores the hermetic seal of the ice room, preventing warm, humid air from entering and causing frost buildup.

Ice Bucket Assembly

The gaskets on the front of the ice bucket assembly are critical for maintaining the thermal barrier between the ice room and the refrigerator door. If the bucket is warped or the gasket is compressed, it creates a 'chimney effect' that draws moisture into the ice maker. A new bucket ensures a tight seal against the ice room faceplate.
