Main Wiring Harness (1-4 Connector)

Mechanical strain from handlebar rotation frequently causes the inline connectors at the front of the frame to unseat. This harness carries the throttle signal to the controller, and even a partial disconnection of the waterproof pins will result in a total loss of throttle response while the display remains powered.

Rad Power Bikes Twist Power Throttle

The twist throttle utilizes a Hall effect sensor and a magnet to communicate speed requests. Physical impact or internal spring failure can misalign the sensor, preventing it from reaching the necessary voltage threshold (approx. 0.8V) to signal the controller to engage the motor.

Motor Controller

The controller acts as the central logic unit; if the internal MOSFETs or the logic gate responsible for throttle signal interpretation fails, the motor will not receive current. This is often caused by moisture ingress into the controller housing or heat-induced degradation of the internal circuitry.
