The most common cause of a tracking loop is a physical obstruction of the IR proximity sensor. A warped or improperly seated facial interface blocks the sensor's line-of-sight to the forehead, preventing the tracking software from finalizing its initialization sequence and causing it to crash and restart indefinitely.

Internal Proximity Sensor Assembly

Electromechanical failure of the IR emitter or receiver within the proximity module causes intermittent signals. This forces the device's power management state to oscillate between 'Standby' and 'Active,' which interrupts the tracking camera handshake and triggers the 'Tracking Lost' UI loop.

SLAM Tracking Camera Module

A failure in one of the four wide-angle tracking cameras can prevent the headset from establishing a spatial anchor. If the hardware-level self-test fails during the boot-up sequence, the software may repeatedly attempt to re-sync the camera array, resulting in the reported error loop.
