Drain Tube Assembly

This assembly contains the duckbill valve responsible for allowing defrost water to exit the cabinet. Over time, the rubber valve sticks shut due to debris or suction, causing water to overflow the internal drain trough and leak into the cabin or onto the floor. Replacing it with the updated OEM version ensures the valve opens correctly under the weight of the water.

Water Inlet Valve Assembly

If the leak is originating from the rear of the refrigerator, the dual or triple solenoid water inlet valve is the likely failure point. Cracks in the plastic valve body or a failure of the internal diaphragm to fully seat under pressure will cause a steady drip from the water line connections or the valve housing itself.

Evaporator Drain Heater Clip

In many LG models, the defrost drain hole freezes over because the defrost heater does not extend deep enough into the drain port. This copper clip is installed onto the defrost heater element and inserted into the drain hole to conduct heat directly into the port, preventing ice blockages that lead to water overflow and leaks.
