Brew Unit Assembly
The cleaning cycle requires the brew unit to travel through its full mechanical range multiple times. Over time, coffee oils increase friction on the piston O-rings and the scraper mechanism, leading to a loud groaning or rhythmic clicking sound as the motor and gear train struggle to overcome the resistance.

Ceramic Valve (Multi-Way Valve)
This valve uses a stepper motor to align ceramic discs for water routing. During cleaning, it rapidly switches positions; if calcification or residue is present, the motor may skip steps or produce a loud 'thumping' noise as the discs bind, eventually leading to an Error 7.

Drain Valve Solenoid
The drain valve is responsible for depressurizing the system into the tray. If the internal spring or plunger is fouled with scale, the solenoid can produce a loud buzzing or vibrating sound during the 'rinse' phases of the cleaning cycle.
