The 'Fill Beans' error on the E8 is primarily caused by lipid accumulation on the ceramic burrs, which reduces the coefficient of friction required to transport beans from the hopper into the grinding chamber. When the burrs become glazed with oil, they fail to 'bite' the beans, causing the motor to spin with negligible resistance. The machine detects this low-load state via the power management board and interprets the lack of bean mass as an empty hopper, regardless of the actual bean level.
