The most frequent cause of 'start then die' symptoms is a clogged pilot jet or fuel bowl contamination. Ignition Coil

If the unit starts and runs for a few minutes before dying, it indicates a thermal failure in the ignition coil. As the engine warms, internal windings in the coil expand and break continuity, causing a sudden loss of spark. The unit will often not restart until the coil has cooled down completely.
