Water Inlet Valve Assembly

The water inlet valve is the primary mechanical component responsible for allowing water into the tub. In this model, internal solenoid coils frequently burn out or the internal screens become clogged with sediment, preventing water flow even when the control board provides voltage.

Water Level Pressure Sensor

The pressure sensor communicates the water level to the control board; if the sensor is defective or 'stuck' reporting a full tub, the washer's logic will never energize the inlet valves to prevent an overflow condition. This is a common electronic failure point identified in GE front-load diagnostic codes.

Pressure Chamber

This chamber and its attached air tube can become clogged with 'biofilm' or detergent suds. When obstructed, the air pressure cannot reach the sensor correctly, causing the machine to enter a 'ghost' full state where it refuses to fill or cycles the drain pump indefinitely instead of filling.
