Washer Shock Absorber

These dampers are responsible for absorbing the kinetic energy of the 5.0 cu. ft. drum. If the internal friction pads wear out, the drum will oscillate excessively during the transition to high-speed spin, causing the unit to shake and potentially 'walk' across the floor.

Motor Position Sensor (Hall Effect)

This sensor provides real-time RPM data to the control board for the Dynamic Balancing Technology (dBT). A faulty sensor sends erratic signals, preventing the board from detecting an unbalanced load and allowing the motor to ramp up to high speed while the load is off-center.

Suspension Spring

The heavy drum assembly is suspended by two large tension springs. If one spring has stretched or the plastic sleeve has worn through, the drum will sit unevenly, creating a mechanical imbalance that the shock absorbers cannot fully compensate for during spin cycles.
