Downward Vision Sensor Module

This module contains the binocular CMOS cameras and infrared sensors required for ground positioning. The error occurs when the Vision Processing Unit (VPU) detects a parity mismatch or a loss of signal from one of the optical sensors, preventing the drone from maintaining spatial awareness and typically resulting in a flight lockout.

Vision Sensor Flex Cable

The flex cable transmits high-speed data from the forward and downward sensors to the main logic board. Minor mechanical stresses or manufacturing defects in the ribbon's trace can cause intermittent I2C communication failures, triggering a system-wide vision sensor error even if the sensors themselves are functional.

DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drone Series)

While not a physical hardware part, this is the official OEM-required service tool for resetting the sensor's logical state. Many 'errors' are caused by corrupted IMU-Vision synchronization tables that can only be resolved by re-aligning the sensors against a digital calibration target.
