Flow Meter

The flow meter contains a precision impeller with a magnet that triggers a Hall effect sensor on the external housing. If mineral deposits (limescale) jam the impeller or the sensor fails to send a pulse-width modulated signal to the PCB during pump activation, the machine assumes the circuit is air-locked or empty. Replacing the meter restores the volumetric feedback required for the machine to proceed with the brewing sequence.

Ulka Vibration Pump

The solenoid-driven vibration pump provides the mechanical force to move water through the thermoblock. Internal piston wear or a weakened spring can prevent the pump from generating enough head pressure to overcome an air lock or open the internal one-way valves. If the pump runs (audible hum) but fails to move water, the flow meter registers zero flow, triggering the error.

Water Tank Connection O-Ring Kit

A degraded or dry O-ring at the interface between the water tank and the machine intake allows air to be sucked into the line instead of water. This loss of suction prevents the system from priming, causing the pump to run dry and the flow meter to register a 'Circuit Empty' state due to the presence of air instead of liquid mass.
