Dishwasher Drain Filter Assembly

The filter is the primary barrier for food debris. Over time, the fine mesh can become blinded by fats and small particulates, or large objects can bypass a poorly seated filter, leading to an immediate drainage blockage that triggers the E24 code.

Drain Pump

If the filter is clear, the drain pump motor may have suffered an internal electrical failure or the impeller may be jammed by debris (broken glass or seeds). This part is responsible for the mechanical expulsion of water and is the most likely electrical component to fail in the drain circuit.
