Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA Batteries (2-Pack)
The Blink Video Doorbell requires high-discharge non-rechargeable lithium batteries to bridge the power gap when the button is pressed. During the chime trigger, the doorbell must shunt the AC power to the chime solenoid; if the batteries are weak, the logic board will abort the chime trigger to prevent the camera from losing Wi-Fi connectivity or shutting down.

16V AC / 30VA Doorbell Transformer
Standard mechanical chime transformers are often rated at 10VA, which is insufficient to power both a Wi-Fi camera and a mechanical solenoid simultaneously. Upgrading to a 30VA transformer provides the necessary current (amperage) to overcome the voltage drop caused by the doorbell's internal circuitry, ensuring the solenoid plunger has enough electromagnetic force to strike the chime bar.

Blink Video Doorbell Unit
If power supply and settings are verified, the internal solid-state relay or triac responsible for closing the chime circuit may have suffered a hardware failure. This prevents the physical completion of the electrical loop to the house chime regardless of the software command or available voltage.
