Motor Assembly (120V)
The Encore ESP utilizes a DC motor where carbon brushes conduct current to the armature. Over time, these brushes wear down, losing the spring tension required to maintain contact with the commutator, resulting in intermittent operation or a total failure to start. Replacing the full motor assembly is the standard resolution as it provides a clean commutator surface and new brushes, restoring the electromagnetic torque required to drive the burr set.
