Air Filter Element

The air filter is a pleated paper media that becomes permanently restricted when saturated with engine oil. Once oil enters the air box via the breather tube due to overfilling, the filter's permeability is compromised, leading to the reported sluggish engine performance and 'limp mode' symptoms. Replacement is the only way to restore specified manifold absolute pressure.

Spark Plugs (Set of 4)

Excess oil in the intake tract often migrates past the intake valves into the combustion chamber, leading to carbon tracking and oil-fouling of the electrode gap. Fouled plugs will cause intermittent misfires and contribute to the lack of power experienced after an oil-overfill event.

Oil Extractor Pump

While not a component of the vehicle, a vacuum extractor is the required tool to correct the root cause by removing the excess oil from the dry sump tank. The system must be leveled to the 'half-way' mark on the dipstick only after the engine has reached full operating temperature to prevent a recurrence of the overflow.
