Internal Lithium-Ion Battery Assembly
The internal Lithium-Ion cells have likely reached the end of their service life or entered a deep-discharge state that triggered the Battery Management System (BMS) safety lockout. This hardware-level protection prevents the unit from accepting a charge to mitigate the risk of fire from unstable cells. Replacing the integrated battery pack restores the DC power storage capacity and resets the charging handshake.

DC Input Jack / Power PCB
Frequent insertion and removal of the power adapter can cause mechanical fatigue and micro-fractures in the solder joints of the DC barrel jack. If the data pin or positive terminal loses contact, the unit may receive enough power to illuminate an LED but insufficient current to initiate the charging sequence for the high-capacity battery.

AC Power Adapter (15V 3A)
A failure in the external transformer's voltage regulation can result in a 'ghost' voltage where the meter may show 15V but the current (amperage) collapses under the load of a charging battery. If the adapter cannot provide the wattage required to overcome the battery's internal resistance, charging will fail.
