Carburetor Rebuild Kit

This kit contains the needle valve, seat, and bowl gasket necessary to rectify fuel level issues. The mechanical failure typically involves the degradation of the needle's rubber tip or the seat's O-ring, which prevents the float from successfully stopping fuel flow at the calibrated height. Replacing these components ensures the needle valve responds accurately to the float's buoyancy at the specified 13mm height or the 'clear tube' level.

Float Needle and Seat Assembly

If the float itself is not punctured, the needle and seat are the primary failure points in the fuel regulation circuit. Over time, fuel additives degrade the seal, causing the bowl to overfill regardless of the physical float height setting. This assembly restores the critical seal between the fuel tank's gravity feed and the carburetor's internal reservoir.

Carburetor Float

In cases where float height cannot be consistently maintained, the float itself may have lost its structural integrity or developed a pinhole leak (saturation). A 'heavy' float will sit lower in the fuel, failing to provide the upward force required to seat the needle valve, leading to a perpetual rich or overflow condition.
