The internal PSU is responsible for converting AC to a stable 12V DC rail. If the internal capacitors or switching MOSFETs are degraded, the PSU will trip its over-current protection (OCP) the moment the console's APU demands a high-power state during boot, resulting in an immediate shutdown.

Internal 1TB NVMe SSD

The Xbox Series X requires a specific handshake with the internal M.2 NVMe drive to load the security processor and dashboard. If the SSD has a corrupted master boot record or a physical controller failure, the console may shut down immediately after the initial splash logo as a security and stability precaution.

Internal Cooling Fan Assembly

While less common for 'immediate' off, the system BIOS checks for fan tachometer feedback during startup. If the fan motor is seized or the hall-effect sensor is faulty, the system may shut down instantly to prevent an imminent thermal event, especially if it detects an open circuit in the fan's power loop.
