Internal 2.5-inch SATA Hard Drive (1TB)

The original 5400RPM mechanical drives are prone to head crashes and bad sectors in the system partition. When the console attempts to load the dashboard (Shell) from a corrupted sector, it hangs indefinitely, resulting in a black screen. Replacing the drive and performing an Offline System Update (OSU) restores the operating environment.

HDMI Replacement Port

Repeated plugging and unplugging or cable tension often causes the HDMI port's internal pins to bend or the solder pads to crack. This prevents the TMDS signal from reaching the display, resulting in a 'No Signal' black screen. Replacing the port restores the physical connection path.

HDMI Retimer IC

This integrated circuit manages the HDMI handshake and signal timing. It is highly susceptible to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) or power surges through the HDMI cable. If this chip fails, the console will power on but cannot negotiate a resolution with the television, leading to a permanent black screen.
