Lidar Laser Distance Sensor Drive Belt
The Lidar turret is driven by a small rubber belt connected to a DC motor. Over time, or when the vacuum enters low-clearance areas that apply downward pressure on the turret housing, the belt can slip off the pulley or stretch, preventing the laser from spinning. Replacing or reseating the belt restores the rotational torque required for the Lidar sensor to map the environment.

Lidar Motor
If the belt is intact but the turret fails to spin, the small brushed DC motor responsible for the rotation has likely reached its end-of-life or stalled due to internal resistance. These motors frequently fail in robotic vacuums due to high cycle counts and fine dust ingress into the motor housing. Replacing the motor restores the 360-degree scanning capability.

Lidar Laser Distance Sensor (LDS) Assembly
In cases where the optical sensor itself has failed or the internal bearing of the turret is seized by hair and debris that cannot be cleared, the entire Lidar assembly must be replaced. This is the definitive fix for 'Lidar Blocked' errors when mechanical belt/motor interventions fail to resume rotation.
