Water Inlet Valve

A failure in the internal solenoid diaphragm allows water to seep into the ice maker fill tube between cycles. In the sub-freezing environment of the ice room, this stagnant water freezes, eventually forming a solid ice plug that blocks the flow of water for subsequent harvests. Replacing the valve ensures a complete hydraulic shut-off, preventing the drip-freeze-clog cycle.

Ice Door Flapper Kit

If the ice dispenser door (flapper) does not seal airtight against the housing, warm moisture-laden air from the room enters the ice compartment. This moisture condenses and freezes on the ice maker components and fill tube, eventually leading to a total freeze-up of the mechanism. This kit includes the seal and motor components to ensure the compartment remains airtight.

Ice Maker Assembly

If the internal mold heater or the harvest motor fails, the ice maker may fail to eject cubes, causing water to overflow into the tray and freeze the entire assembly into a single block. Since individual sub-components of this ice maker are generally not serviceable by field technicians, the entire assembly must be replaced if the internal heating element is defective.
