Suspension Rod Kit

The 'uL' code is triggered when the control board detects an excessive oscillation of the tub during the spin ramp-up. The four suspension rods are designed to dampen this movement using calibrated spring tension and internal friction; when these rods lose their dampening properties, the tub bounces uncontrollably even with a balanced load. Replacing the entire kit restores the necessary resistance to keep the tub centered and prevent the safety sensor from tripping.

Drive Hub

A stripped or worn drive hub can cause the washplate to slip or sit unevenly during the agitation phase, leading to poor load distribution before the spin cycle begins. If the hub is not securely locking the basket to the drive shaft, the resulting mechanical 'slop' can mimic an unbalanced load to the machine's sensors. This is a common secondary cause if suspension rods do not fully resolve the vibration.

Washplate

The washplate is responsible for the 'shuffling' motion that distributes clothes evenly across the bottom of the drum. If the splines on the underside of the washplate are rounded or damaged, it will fail to properly redistribute the load during the sensing phase, leading to a physical imbalance that triggers the 'uL' error.
