T-CON Board (Timing Controller)

The T-CON board is responsible for the timing and logic of the LCD's vertical and horizontal drivers. A malfunctioning T-CON often results in fixed vertical or horizontal lines because it can no longer accurately address specific pixel columns or rows. This is the most common serviceable component to fail before the panel itself is condemned.

LVDS Ribbon Cables (Set of 2)

Oxidized or poorly seated LVDS cables between the Main Board and T-CON, or between the T-CON and the panel's buffer boards, can introduce signal noise that appears as lines. Cleaning these with isopropyl alcohol or replacing them is a low-cost step that often resolves flickering or colored lines across the display.

Main Board

In many modern Vizio V-Series units, the T-CON functionality is integrated into the Main Board (known as a 'One-Board' solution). If your specific model lacks a standalone T-CON, the Main Board must be replaced to resolve video processing errors that manifest as screen lines.
