T-CON Board

The T-CON board is responsible for translating the main board's video signal into instructions for the LCD panel's rows and columns. A failure in its timing logic or gamma voltage generation frequently manifests as persistent vertical or horizontal lines across the display. Replacing this board is the primary surgical intervention for line-related artifacts.

LVDS Ribbon Cable Set

Corrosion or slight shifts in the ribbon cables connecting the T-CON to the panel can result in intermittent or permanent signal loss for specific pixel columns. This causes thin, single-pixel vertical lines or color distortion. Replacing or reseating these cables ensures signal continuity.

LCD Panel Assembly

If horizontal lines are persistent and do not change with a T-CON replacement, the failure is usually located within the Chip-on-Film (COF) drivers bonded to the glass. These components are non-serviceable and require a full panel replacement. This is the definitive root cause when lines do not overlap the TV menu or respond to board swaps.
