T-Con Board

The Timing Controller (T-Con) board is responsible for translating the Main Board's video signal into the specific row/column voltages for the LCD panel. A failure in its logic chips or gamma voltage ICs results in artifacts, distorted colors, or fixed horizontal/vertical lines. Replacing this board is the primary solution for screen lines that are not caused by physical glass damage.

LVDS Ribbon Cable Set

These cables carry high-speed data from the Main Board to the T-Con and then to the Panel's source drivers. Oxidation on the pin connectors or heat-induced tension can cause signal loss for specific pixel columns, manifesting as vertical lines. Cleaning with Isopropyl alcohol or replacing the cables often restores the electrical path.

Main Board

If the lines are accompanied by system instability or if the T-Con is integrated into the Main Board (common in smaller D-Series models), the video scaling engine on the Main Board may be outputting a corrupted LVDS signal. Replacing the Main Board ensures the source video signal is properly processed before reaching the display hardware.
