The Viking Professional door is constructed of heavy-gauge commercial steel, placing extreme stress on the hinge pivot points. Over time, the static weight and repeated opening cycles cause the hinge leaf or the pivot pin to deform, resulting in a 'bent' appearance and preventing the door from seating flush against the chassis. Replacing the individual hinge assembly restores the proper fulcrum geometry and spring tension required for a complete seal.
