D2 Direct Drive Auger Motor
The clunking sound is produced by the motor's planetary gear reduction system slipping or reversing under high torque loads. This typically occurs when wood pellet 'fines' or moisture-compromised pellets create a high-friction 'bridge' in the auger tube that exceeds the motor's operational torque limit. Replacing the motor restores the drive system's ability to communicate correctly with the controller's Hall-effect sensors and ensures the gearbox can deliver the required rotational force without mechanical skipping.
